Winter Moorings

I am standing on a bridge near Stretton under Fosse.  The busy Oxford Canal is not far from here.  These narrow boats will soon be on their way when the better weather is here.

They look so picturesque and peaceful, lined up like that:) I'm hoping the rainy weather has improved in your neck of the woods (though it looks like a non-soggy day here..? Hooray if so!)

Ooooh, I always love barge and canal photos. I used to think about taking a barge vacation but I have abandoned that idea. I am too tall.

That's quite a line up there, do some people live aboard even in winter ?

PerthDP - You know something, I don't know. My guess is that those are just stored during the winter. The Oxford Canal is popular for short holiday renting of boats.

They look so expectant, sitting there waiting for better weather!

My guess it that they will be all on their way by Summer.
