Here is the evidence (last Saturday) that the children at a local primary school had a fun week in the snow. It almost looks like those massive snow balls are playing their own game of soccer before they melt...ha ha!
Today - More clear skies in Coventry! Snow is nearly gone.
Update: 1pm - Raining :(

our 'snow storm' began Friday evening and ended a few hours later leaving nothing except salt stained streets
Oh dear, Daryl!!!!! That doesn't sound anything like the beautiful powdery snow we had. Advantage of heavy rains afterwards: Snow disappears quick, so no slush and roads are cleared. Disadvantages: Flooding - not good.
So much easier to tolerate winter when there are pretty blue skies like that. Nice to see signs of kids outdoors enjoying the fresh air.
Oh...snow with green grass...how wonderful:)
i like the way those big balls of snow are just laying around. my kids got another day off today..this time because the roads were so icy this morning...we have warm temps in the 60's on the way tomorrow...so happy!
Thought you had had giant hailstones there for a moment!
Ha ha, Deb!!!! Wish I had thought of that when I was putting my post together.
Tanya - We had so much rain that there was little ice. You take care!
SRQ & Bev - I agree. It is not the norm here to have that combo of blue, green and white. So true about the children, SRQ.
Haha! They do seem to be strategically placed on the field, like some sort of 'game plan'.
This is fantastic! It looks like some sort of art installation.
I think this was the handiwork of aliens... :-)
Yay, I've been working backward through posts, but looks like some snow-free relief in sight! Whew! (It's been odd to see lush England so smothered in icy cold white:)
Aliens, game play, art installation and snow-free relief. Great comments all bringing a smile to my happy face.
