The Screen of Saints and Angels window was created by John Hutton.

The shot below is my favorite. Every time I
turned around there were groups of children having
a school day out to see and learn about Coventry's history.
The only thing missing here for me is a bit of sunshine.
I'm sure you will find plenty of that if you

Great post for Theme Day :)
a great window for looking out of
Thanks for the link. Fascinating man! Hutton is a fantastic artist and his work is indeed wonderful and so contemporary!
I absolutely love that place!!
I also love the reverse view...old to new, from the top of the steps.

Nice themeshot!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Following you now!
You know I have never visited Coventry Cathedral but you have now made me want to
I do love Coventry cathedral. Last time I visited, a few years ago, I felt that it was not being made enough of - as a symbol, as an architectural masterpiece. I hope that they are at least selling a nice history of it in the shop now. And your photo showed some of what attracts me so much about it.
It's wonderful!
Lovely views. As for sunshine, it's a rarity here this time of year north of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. :))
Beautiful shots, Lauren!
Wow! I like that glass feature in the window.
I love these, how nice to discover yet another artist! Wonderful images of his work and for the theme:)
This is a magnificent window.
Nice theme day shots!
Unusual but good for theme day post.
I remember going to Coventry Cathedral on my first trip to England in 1973.
Lovely series! What an elegant and unusual window!
Wonderful artistry in glass and architecture for looking out or in. Yep, would expect a soul from Pasadena to always miss the sun. :)
The beautiful glass is just amazing. I'd love to visit here some day.
Lovely windows, I enjoyed them all.
These are all marvelous I can't pick a favorite.
Old and modern go along so well, what beautiful details all around.
The figures are reminiscent of ice sculptures. At least, this time of the year. On a very cold morning, that was my first thought.
Great post! All shots are wonderful.
A genuine thank you all for leaving a comment. I enjoyed reading them all and I know others will too. Thank you.
This is the most amazing window Lauren, it fits so well in this wonderful cathedral..I love every shot you take from here. Excellent link also, thanks.
