Gypsy Cottage and The Cottage
Let's walk around to the front :)
Grade II Listed this 17th Century building is made up of more than one cottage.
The small sign on the front says 'Gypsy Cottage'.
I think that the right-hand side of the building is
The Cottage and Gypsy Cottage is to the left.
Across the street is a pub. The view from
the garden is just about perfect to me.
All of these photos were taken on the same afternoon
about 3 weeks ago. Passing clouds and rain caused some
of the photos to be a tad dark. But you get the idea!

Certainly makes a pretty picture Lauren. Never seen a tiny top window hiden in the thatch like that before.
Of course that should be hidden! Or maybe it is hiding!!
Love these thatched roofs but for some reason they make me think of the haircut worn by the Three Stooges. :)
The shape of that roof really gives the place a lot of character!
I'd be interested in seeing what's on the other side of that massive chimney.
The unusual shape of the roof too caught my eye too! I love the name Leek Wootton, we've driven by but never made a proper stop. I'm glad you did and could share such a pretty little area.:)
The architecture of these homes are quite unique, lots of character.
I've already imagined a whole day in this place, thank you!
The stoutness reminds me of ancient Indian temples of brick I've seen elsewhere today.... Such nice pics you share

The roofs are quite interesting and I imagine typical for the area. They are much more picturesque than any in my current area. I did wonder about the hole in the first one, then figured it must be for a window view, surely not a hole in the roof!
the gypsy cottage looks like it has a nose in the second photo! love that little tiny window :)
I almost expect to see mythical, magical wizards and creatures popping up in the avenues and out of the houses of these unbelievably charming villages! Those homes and rooftops have such character!
The dormer window up top reminds me of the pyramid on the US dollars with the eye in about the same spot!!!
This thatched house series is really fun. Keep it up, LOL.
This little gem had me at Gypsy Cottage Lauren :)
