Coventry Pubs #7 - Litten Tree

1a Warwick Row
On a windy day in November, 2015.

Not every public house in Coventry is an architectural gem.
This is just a plain brick building located between the City Centre
and the Coventry Train Station.

When I was taking these photos it was the Zebra Crossing
I wanted to share.  I like them.
Across the street in New Union Street
stands one of Coventry's 3 historic spires -

Sorry about all the text here.
I just have to add something about the
yellow 'globe' atop the black and white pole.
It has a name, Belisha beacon, and a history too.
Always learning :).

Hope your week is going well!!!

City Daily Photo Theme Day - Landmark

Coventry's Three Spires
Photo taken from the village of Ansty (4.7 miles away).

In the days before skyscrapers, Coventry's 'Three Spires' would have
dominated the skyline of the City and served as an impressive and easily recognizable
landmark for visitors to the City.  As you can see, the Spires are visible from some distance.
The trick is to find a vantage point where you can see all three.

Left spire - Christ Church (Greyfriars), just over 200 ft/61 m
Middle spire - St Michael's (Old Cathedral) 300 ft/91 m
Right spire - Holy Trinity 230 ft/70 m
