Thatched Roof Thursday #14 - Chipping Campden

Recently, I used the cottage above in my Thatched Roof Thursday series.  I am just popping back to show you more of that hedge.  It is amazing and sets off that great home in Chipping Camden a treat and goes all the way around the corner.

Across the street is another.  In fact the whole street is loaded with thatched homes.  (I am not going to show you them all. Come over and see for yourself!)  These photos were taken on January 1st.

As I am sitting here typing away, I am hearing the weather report which includes the dreaded word,  'blizzards'.  Now I love a little snow but there are limitations.  Snow report tomorrow :).

That hedge looks like it is alive! I think I would have nightmares.

Hope they got the roof finished before the snow arrived. Amazing hedge!

Ha ha, Jack! It does.

Deb - I went pass yesterday and they are almost done. I was amazed. None of the decorative bits started yet. Expect there will be a delay.

I agree with Jack -- That's one scarey hedge! Makes a beautiful photo, tho. :-)

I loved it first time too! I admit, I also marveled at the hedge, haha, though it goes very well with that roof somehow - it's like something from a fantasy movie:) (ps English breakfasts are absolutely scrumptious, but yes, soo different from American brekkies:))

Tanya...I just went off to see if I could find anything out about the 'hedge'. Nothing but Mr. LOL thinks it could have been around for 30 years...just a guess.

Love the thatches but not so sure about the hedge, like Jack methinks it would creep me out haha!

Perth DP (Think I am going to have to call you Debbie. Is that right?) - Mades me laugh cause most people do go for a nice straight line.

Petrea and Chieftess - I think it looks rather magical too. Thanks for stopping by, both.
