Instant Fog

Brandon Hall Hotel

I am definitely an amateur photographer.  Here is proof.

This is were my husband and I go for a swim (not as often as we should).  The other day there was a rare moment when no one was in the pool.  I rushed to our car (fully clothed), got my camera and ended up with only a couple of  photos. Something to do the camera being in a cold car and suddenly indoors in a nice warm environment.  Within in seconds - Instant Fog!  All part of the learning curve :).

PS.  For you local folks.  Brandon Hall offers yearly gym and pool facilities for local residents.  All sorts of memberships available.

I too discovered this problem perhaps 3 years back. I went to Tropical World here in Leeds on a cold and frosty day! Nice looking spot for a swim though.

i didn't know that! what a cheery place to swim though and how lucky the 2 of you were to get it all to yourselves! ha, that's funny that the holiday was on :)

That's exactly what went wrong with a series of my recent winter shots:) Lovely image of the hotel and I actually thought the foggy 2nd photo was nicely abstract! (So good and healthy of you and your husband to swim year round).

Live and learn. Glad you like the hotel. It is fun to be in the pool with a nice view of trees beyond.

Maybe I shouldn't say it, but the fogged photo has an appeal of its own . . .

This is something that never happened to me. How cool! :-)

Jack - You to are too kind :)

JM - Hopefully, it won't. Expect that damp isn't much good for the camera!

Wow- that's good to know! I had a similar/opposite problem once when I had a small camera in my pocket in a DC subway during a summer heat wave. The humidity got into the camera and ruined photos of the National Gallery!

Now you see how the camera lens fogged up, that 's exactly what happens here when you go outside into 40C from air conditioning, it's quite funny really!
