Name That Bird, Duck or Goose
The one in the front (I think) is a Greylag Goose but I am struggling to figure out what the bird at the back is. Any ideas??? (Taken about 2 weeks ago.)
Here is another picture which isn't very clear - I guess this unknown goose or duck is camera shy :). (Taken yesterday.)
I have seen this bird twice now and it is so unusual looking with a ring around its neck and eye. Now to find out what it is.
(Addition: 12th February, 2013 - Read the comments for bird's identity.)
Movie update: The British Academy Awards show was fun last night and there were some nice surprises, but no Adele. She was at the Grammy Awards. (Can't blame her!) So everything is all set now for the Academy Award show on the 24th. Still time to see a couple more films.
Happy Birthday, Lisa!

I've never seen that kind of duck before. I wonder it is?! It sure is handsome.
i don't know but i'm going with duck :)
Sorry LOL, not good with bird names, if it was a Mallard, I'd be right on it!! I'm watching the awards right now, Stephen Fry is the best host ever!
i don't know what that bird is other than it looks like a duck .. does it quack like a duck ;)
Maybe he's a "guck"? (Goose/Duck)
Ha Ha! Adele and Daryl - you both are too funny. Daryl - it didn't make a sound and Adele - 'Guck' - priceless!
Lauren it is an Egyptian Goose. They have naturalised over here after escaping from wildfowl collections over the years.
Oh, thank you Deb. I really appreciate your expertise. Now off to google Egyptian Goose.
It's quite a lovely bird and now I need to google Egyptian goose too! (I love watching Stephen Fry hosting anything:)
Of course, an Egyptian Goose. I like coming along after someone smarter has answered the trick questions.
This has been my most favorite post of all. What you have to say is jolly good fun!!!!
