I was hoping you would use the cathedral Lauren, it really is quite spectacular and couldn't be more perfect for today..look at all those lovely shadows in the second shot, so good.
I always think such photos of Coventry Cathedral are SO sad with the memories they evoke. What has happened to the peace that was supposed to come after?
These beautiful ruins are full of history, recent or past.
What a beautiful old church. When the ruins of a church are this beautiful, you know the place was quite impressive when it was whole.

Yeah, I'd say this is the textbook definition of facade. I visited the cathedral several years ago and it is so beautiful. You really captured it.
