17th Century gem.
Kenilworth Castle is down the road to my right.
I couldn't pass on posting something on Thatched Roof Thursday.
I found out at the dentist yesterday that one of my wisdom teeth
and a nearby nerve are not the best of friends. If the pain doesn't go away,
I am guessing that the tooth fairy can stop by my house in the near future. Darn!

Nice cottage and looks like a lovely garden too. Hope you get the tooth sorted soon.
Wow, what a place! If this is a cottage, it's one grand cottage.
Funny you should mention Pasadena. I lived in LA in the mid-to-late-forties and I can remember driving through beautiful Pasadena, too, and you're right about the similarities. Friends of ours lived within walking distance of the Rose Parade route and we'd arrive at their house in the wee hours of the morning because they had been up all night saving places along the route! :)
That is so beautiful! Some cottage.
Such a lovely composition, LOL. And such a lovely thatched cottage. (Sorry about that tooth.)
I live in Pasadena, Lowell. It's still lovely!
No thatched houses that I know of, though. I really like this one.
Love the roof and the path...and I'm so sorry about your tooth... I had a cavity...very close to the nerve... it stills bothers me...but I put up with the pain...as I do not want a root canal...is that what they call it:))
A gem indeed Lauren, a lovely English scene. Don't like the sound of your wisdom tooth problem, it'll feel so good when its out!
P.s.you parlez Francaise tres bien :)
What a perfect little cottage! You don't see thatched roofs often here. So cute!
Deb - Thanks
Lowell - Ha Ha...I know what you mean ref 'cottage'. And..my grandparents lived close to the parade route too. I know exactly of what you speak :). Happy Days!
RedPat and Jack - Cheers!
Petrea - I am still missing your Pasadena photos.
Bev - I must be too old for a root canal cause they didn't even suggest it as an option :). I can sympathize with you about that darn pain.
Grace - There have been so many times when a French word just seems perfect. Makes me smile cause I know you will use French quite often. Charming. I'm pretty sure the tooth is coming out...I feel better since you said I will :).
Thanks, Halcyon.
Amazing how beautifully wavy those thatched roofs can look. Love them!
