Green...

...with a hint of blue.

My favorite tree ready for plenty of Summer sunshine.
Hopefully!

Participating in Our World Tuesday.

I am going to take a leap and sign up for Google+ so that I can use that location for storage of my zillions of photographs.  I have been using Picasa Web Album but I understand that that may be phased out. (I also store on an external hard drive and on my laptop.)  Not being a geek - things may go wrong.  Fingers crossed.

That is so simple and so effective Lauren. Wishing you a green summer!

I needed that dose of sunny green, thanks! Our sun finally came peeping out after torrential rain. It's still playing hide and seek though:) I did not know that about Picasa possibly being phased out, but I'm not surprised - you are inspiring me to look for better photo organizing solutions!

I thought Picasa ended about a year ago when it was taken over by Google. It was a nice little program & had some useful tools. I use Lightroom now

Thank you so much for your comments on my tree. You can picture me and Mr LOL sitting at a picnic bench, having hot chocolate and looking at this view after we go for a walk around Coombe.

Now to the Google+ issue - You will see that Stefan and Christopher (both who commented today) have the G+ next to their names. The only problem is that I CAN'T comment on Christopher's photo unless I am in Google+ but I can on Stefan's. Confusing - Yes! Must have to do with the way they have set up their comments on their blog/Google+. Nora (also commenting today) confirms that she has heard about problems with Google+ comments and moderation. That really worries me.

Picasa Web Albums - At the moment our blog photos are copied and stored in Picasa Web Album. It is still there but google has been added to the URL!!! Since Picasa is a Google product and I am thinking Blogger is too...that is where I get confused and very concerned. There is gossip that Picasa photos are to be absorbed into Google+.

Please just be aware and watchful. Carry on with what you are doing and enjoy blogging. I will try out Google+ and report back in a future blog. I hate not being a 'geek' :).

Grace - I can see me doing the same but I will have a little explore into G+ world over the weekend :).

What a lovely summer pic!!! Looks like a nice day to be in Coventry!!!
At the photography program that I took classes at, they recommended no less than 3 back ups for your photography!!! I have two external hard drives, and keep my memory cards!!! And I've still lost photos!!! I should have an off site back up too, but because I store my pics on the external instead of on my computer, I can't back them up offline. Maybe for more money...but not the program I have!!!

Good points, Chieftess! I find it all helpful and sadly it is raining right now...ha ha!

Daryl - Not far away is a Sweet Chestnut Tree which is fenced off because it is very old to promote any new shoots. I will think of you when I see it next. Anyone can sing along if they follow the link - http://www.englishvideolesson.com/4735-under-the-spreading-chestnut-tree-nursery-rhymes-and-children-songs-with-lyrics-muffin-songs.html
