Back To The Family

I am hopelessly captivated by these swans.
Can you blame me.  It is just about
to rain (again), but I don't care.

Participating in Skywatch Friday and Ein Stück Himmel

Have a terrific weekend and for those of you who follow tennis,
enjoy Wimbledon.

I'm captivated too, loving these swans! I've seen few new animal families this year so it's very sweet to see them here. Rain rain go away, so you have a great wkd:) (I've never tried tai chi, but everyone I know who has swears by it; my mom still does it in a Honolulu park, and I think she now has a better sense of balance than any of her kids!:)

You can't beat seeing a swan photo, especially if they are doing something to show off their big wings

A lovely capture of the open wings.

Swans have to be about the most elegant water birds. I think this weekend is 'swan upping' weekend when the swans are all counted and marked. (Haven't checked that out yet so might be wrong about the date)

Swans are certainly terrific-looking birds, but they can be pretty nasty, too. This is a wonderful shot and such a beautiful place.

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

Perfect landing...don't ever get tired of taking these 'family' shots Lauren, we love them. I'm very envious of your imminent rain, we desperately need more before summer comes around again, you can send it on its way over here if you've had enough :)

Wonderful action shot- hope the weekend was dry for all in the Midlands Lauren!

You captured the swan perfectly as all seat belts were fastened, all electronics were off, and it descended for a smooth landing! Swans are so beautiful, but rumor has it that they have very mean temperaments. I have never lived in an area where swans were plentiful. But Canada geese? Another beautiful bird that is kind of nasty . . .

Thank you ALL. I have enjoyed reading each and every comment :).

It did rain but stopped now (moving on to Perth:)).
