110 Miles From Coventry...

...to the seaside.

What did we do Wednesday?  Went to the Lincolnshire Coast and discovered Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve in Skegness.  Amazing that in less than 3 hours we can be on the beach with a view like this looking towards Norfolk. Taken yesterday morning.

Have a super weekend all.

Beautiful scenario. But where are all the people? Working, probably!

Nice to hear from you.

That is absolutely stunning. Beaches like this are so beautiful (I know it's nothing like what one sees in California or Hawaii, but it's another kind of beauty:). How fun you got to take a little daytrip. Hope it's a nice, relaxing weekend!

Good old Skegvegas. Not been there in years. Surprised that you managed to get a shot with absolutely no people in it.

3 hours to get there isn't bad. It can take someone from Nottingham nearly as long. Especially if they get stuck on the A52 or A46.

I love this shot! It looks like a minimalist landscape painting.

A lovely, restful scene - I love the cloud shadows on the sand! How nice that you live relatively close (relative to the two days' drive to the nearest beach for me!) :-)

It was so special to be on the beach and see that boat sail by. Mr. LOL was wonderful to wait for ages so I could get some sunshine on it.

JM & Lowell & Grace - Deserted beaches are aplenty here at this time of year. It was cool out. But just by chance a school group appeared to learn about fishing. I had taken my shots.

Daryl, Carraol, Gunn and Lulu - Always enjoy reading your sweet thoughts.

Christoher - The A46 is brilliant now bypassing Newark and Lincoln.

Doronette - You are too kind. Thank you.

Stephanie & Nature & Tina - Thank you...I will pay you a visit :).

Long Beach - I love the shot too...must be the light. Wish I could paint.

Chrissy - You will have to try a trip down the East Coast.

Laloofah - Ha ha...What a long way to travel. But you do live in a beautiful place.
