Wildlife Paddling Pool

I can promise you I was willing that swan (center - click to enlarge) to jump in.
No luck :).
That is a dredging barge used some years ago to
remove silt from the lake. Think it has a new use now.

Not far away is evidence of the strong winds
we have been having.

Both photos taken at Coombe Country Park yesterday.

Have a good week!

Yes, really nice trees with bare branches, nice photos!

What a mess. You've had some awful weather. I saw photos today of the Thames overflowing its banks and folks around London getting around by boat or canoes.

I was going to make a smart comment about your comment about being "speechless," but decided against it. :)

Lovely shots, and it feels like an English winter looking at them.

It still looks a sweet swan right where it is:) What a sad mess though, to see magnificent old trees downed - it's been a terrible winter, hasn't it?

I have been reading about the tough weather southern England has been having. All I can say to cheer you up is that spring can't be too far behind.

What's that they say about children and animals, they never will perform on command :) Hard to imagine winds so strong that they pull trees out by the roots.. believe it or not I have experienced it in my own garden. Mother Nature is none too gentle sometimes!

Hi all. At least this is a shot of a lake but as you have noted, much of England is looking a bit like this. It is awful.

Lowell - I will deal with you later :).
