City Daily Photo Theme Day - Entry

Welcome to the 'entry' and start of a nature walk that passes
by an oak tree I enjoy photographing at regular intervals
during the year.  The sign?  It gives some information about the walk.
Have a look below. (Click on the photo to enlarge.)

Have a good weekend and do take some time to see other
contributions to CDP Theme Day - HERE.

For more photos of this beautiful Oak Tree, click the 'Tree Series' label below.

The landscape gardeners of the 18th century transformed a lot of the countryside.

Lancelot Brown was a knight in shining armour when he came to the rescue here Lauren... Much more user friendly for walkers than formal.. A forward thinker he was :)

An interesting introduction to Lancelot Brown and his philosophy regarding landscape design. You are lucky indeed to have access to this area that still honors his splendid work!

Modest and unassuming yet leading to a beautiful place. I bet it is wonderful in the spring and summer.

Looks like an entry to an expansive landscape. Funny how Man works so hard to corral Nature.

The tree has "good bone" and I'm sure a fascinating one to photograph throughout the seasons.

That's the best kind of entry, to a place you frequent and enjoy. It's a lovely, welcoming tree.

Visiting late after a few days away. He looks like a gentleman capable of designing a garden or two!

A great contribution to the "Entry" theme!

I have climbed over or walked through similar entrances in the Alps, barriers errected to let people in, but keep cows out.

I'd take a walk through that entry anytime.
