Feathers

Ready for the Coventry weather report?

Yesterday it was a tad warmer than normal.  Not very sunny
but nice enough for a walk.  You can see Mr LOL is wrapped up :).

Hope you had a good weekend and are all
set for a super week ahead!

Cheers!

PS. Yes, this is Coombe Country Park.
Coombe Abbey Hotel is to the right
just out of shot.

That first photo is especially beautiful with those ruffled feathers - the colors are outstanding. Nice to see Mr. LOL out and about, too. :-)

Would love to have the opportunity to take swan images, but they are nowhere to be found here.

The thumbnail of the first photo made me think you had a shot of a dead swan lying on its back. Glad to see that my worries for the poor bird were misplaced.

They are beautiful birds. We've got some that are in winter quarters here, but get released on one of the local rivers in late May.

What sweet, lovely swans - hooray for your being out and about! Glad you and Mr. LOL were able to enjoy a spot of almost-spring:)

Wasn't it mild yesterday? Lovely pics of the swans. Crazy weather at the moment - I'm just down the road from you in sunny Leicestershire :-) We often go to the cinema in Coventry at Warwick Arts Centre (why Warwick Uni is in Coventry has always baffled me!).

Love your swan shot. They seem to be such graceful and elegant birds, although they really can be quite noisy and aggressive! It has been warmer (and sunny!) here, I should probably take the opportunity to get some new shots.

Being able to get out and about after a dreadful winter must be such a joy Lauren.. It's the simple things in life that we miss the most when we can't have them don't you think? The white swans always remind me of ballerina's for some reason :)

Thanks all! You are wonderful!!!

Jack - Not a chance! All live birds here...that's my thinking.

Petrea - Hi back from us :).

Barbara - You have me thinking now! Maybe a lot of the Uni land is actually in Warwickshire.

Tanya - Mr LOL says hello back :).
