Nettle Hill, Ansty

I thought this might be a good place to visit today.
All these photos were taken within 200 yards of each other.

The photo above is looking east towards Leicestershire.

Look closely on the fence (below).  Think that might be a Sparrow Hawk.

Below is the mainline to the North.

Plenty of farms in this part of the world.

Looking west - Coventry City Centre.
If you enlarge photo, you might be able to pick out the 3 Spires
of Holy Trinity Church, Coventry Cathedral & Christ Church.

I do love it here in England
even if we haven't had any snow yet :).

What a beautiful part of England. Your instincts were right to lead you here. I love the railroad leading into the distance, and the bright blue skies. Wonderful images!

It looks so lush and green! Quintessential England:) I know it takes a ton of moisture to keep up that green, so hope you get some snow to mix it up...soon!

Hello from a first time visitor dropping in from Princeton Daily Photo and amazing to see these beautiful snow-less shots after London Lulu's recent ones. Enjoyed reading your profile and agree that retirement is the greatest pastime for us as well. And, do feel free to drop in and visit anytime, Lauren.

No one can deny the beauty of the English country side Lauren, very special.. I think the history adds to it too don't you think!
p.s. tooth out in preparation for the implant in 8 weeks, it wasn't too bad, my dentist is so good! Think the worst part is still ahead :)

A most interesting series, LOL. I thought that the UK was experiencing horrific rains.

Thank you all.

Jack - Coventry is right in the middle of England and I was on a hill. Flooding is widespread and many coastal areas have had severe damage. At times it feels like these views could be of future beachfront landscape :(.

Grace - Glad dentist venture is good so far...not my favourite place to visit. Good dentist = you will be fine :).
