Things To Do In Coventry #1 - Walking Tour

The other day in town I was delighted to see this nice young lady, taking visitors around Coventry's historic Cathedral Quarter. Almost everyone is paying attention :).

Pru Porretta, Coventry's modern day, Lady Godiva,  is the guide for today.  Looks like she is going to head towards Hay Lane. (Coventry Cathedral is behind me.)

And here we have Hay Lane.  The Cathedral is to the right at the end of this lane.  The group is going into one of Hay Lane's 16th Century buildings.

Since I have been posting photos here for over a year now, I have decided to feature some tourist activities. Many people who visit Coventry only go to see the Coventry Cathedral.  There is so much more.  If you find yourself heading to Coventry, give the Coventry Tourist Information a call and see when the next guided tour is.

Participating in Our World Tuesday.

Have a happy Tuesday. ☺

Methinks she doth wear too many clothes to be a Lady Godiva :) A tour around an English city would be fascinating LOL, sooo much history!

LOL at PerthDailyPhoto's comment! Lovely outfit though (and I suppose even the Lady herself must find March somewhat chilly:) This is very cool to see, I would happily join the group.

Must admit I only looked around the Cathedral. Now I know what I must do next time I'm in Coventry.

That looks like a good time.

Tours like this are increasing all the time, the more grisly the tales the more popular the tour it seems!

Ms. Godiva is wearing a lot more clothes than the Godiva I read about . . .

You all are great. I smiled at your comments about Lady Godiva being way over-dressed. Thank goodness! :).

I was going to comment on the 'pizza' sign but hesitated...glad you noticed it, Cloudia. Wish that sign wasn't there but I do like Pizza Express. I'll take you inside some time. Beautiful historic building.

Glad the tour has been noted. Not for everyone, I see, but it is informal, informative and fun...perfect for me!

Off to visit your web pages. Jesh St. Germain, a google+ account. If you can, let me know if you have a blog, please.

what's the expression ... ah yes, to send someone to coventry is to ostracize them ... but you make it a welcoming place so those old saws must be wrong ...
