This timber frame building with white painted brick infill is actually two homes. The building is Grade II Listed, dating from the seventeenth century. It is described as one storey, plus an attic. You won't believe the house next door. I'll show it to you next week.
Broad Street, Brinklow, is a little wider than many of the 'main streets' I have seen and this one is full of a variety of homes in all shapes and sizes and shops too.
These photos were taken last Saturday when the sun was out. That didn't last long. I haven't seen it since :).

That brief moment of sun looks very sweet though:) What a darling thatched find again - actually, I've realized you do an impressive job keeping cars/traffic out of these captures!
I could not believe my luck, Lulu, when I was walking pass this thatch to find no cars. Most unusual :). Unfortunately, the one of the house next door will have a car in it. Oh well.
No sun here in Sunny California LOL!!! At least not in the Eastern Sierras!!!
Love these thatched roofs!!! So quaint!!!
Nice contrast between an old thatch and a much newer one.
Looks like you had a beautiful day for your thatched roof hunt. These are so quaint.
No worries, Chieftess, you have snow! I would settle for that :).
Deb - It is fun to see all the differences.
SRQ - It was a gorgeous day. I would love to know what the rent is!
Another gorgeous one! I love this series. Can't wait to see what you've got for next week.
Petrea - Neither can I :).
The thatch on Fosse Cottage looks immaculate LOL, how lovely is the detail along the top ridging..it sure shows up the house next door..about time they lifted their game haha! Only kidding, I seriously do not believe in 'keeping up with the Jonse's'..way too hard!!
Grace - Neither do I, but The Jones's live to the left out of picture ...watch this space. I'll show you next week :).
Another great thatched roof. I like your collection.
How wonderful!
Thanks, Jack. I am having a lot of fun doing it.
Thanks, Hilda.
