H Is For Hidden...

...the sunshine, that is!

I have been searching for a tree to photograph throughout the year.  This oak tree was 'C is for Contender' and is my choice for this little project.  It sits along side what was a medieval road known as Coombe Lane (main route between Coombe Abbey and Coventry City Centre).  I am counting on some sunshine to appear (eventually)!

Have a look at other photographs featuring 'H' by following the link to ABC Wednesday.

Went to the cinema today to see Broken City.  Filmed in New York City.  I found the story a bit complicated in places but I enjoyed it.  Good acting and interesting plot.

Cheers for now.

Our sun is hidden, too! Every once in a while it comes out and teases us, but I think it's going to be a while before it stays for any time.

Hidden behind a bank of fog here today!
Nice looking tree, I have a similar project in mind, still to find THE tree or view yet though.

'Teases' is the perfect description of what the sun is doing here too, Leslie.

Deb - Picking a tree was difficult...there are so many :). My most favourite tree was struck by lightning years ago and is gone. I hope that doesn't happen to this one. Good luck. Look forward to seeing 'your' tree.

Yes, a wonderful composition, I like the framing and light. A beautiful tree, wonderful photo.

This is a beautiful capture, LOL. I particularly like the inclusion of the sheep. The sun disappeared here recently for a day or two and I didn't like it one bit. It reminded me why I left the cold, cloudy climate of up north.

Our sun is also hiding. You've found a great tree.

Roger - I knew what photo I wanted to use today but struggled with H. Hazy never entered my mind...good one!

Thank you, Leovi and Megan.

SRQ - sheep are everywhere. Spotted some lambs today too. Florida without sunshine? No way :).

Ooh, this looks like such a classic scene from the area! Well, our sun certainly hid today, a snowstorm further south seems to have brought on clouds even here. HOPEFULLY, your sun won't stay hidden long:)

A gorgeous tree. Winter trees with bare branches make up for the daunting weather -- I think.

A medieval road. I want to go for a walk.

Cheers, Cloudia!

Lulu - I have been walking near this tree for nearly 40 years and never noticed it until I took up photography. It looks beautiful from all angles. I am following your weather.

Glad you like it, Chris :).

Petrea - I did the medieval road walk for the first time last week. Fantastic, but you would have to keep Boz on a lead because of the sheep. Walking amongst sheep...ultra cool :).

I am so over the sun here LOL, I seriously wish we could come to some arrangement haha! Like the Tree project idea, sounds a bit like what Steffe from Haninge is doing. Hold on, the sun will be with you soon I'm sure!

PerthDP - I got my idea from Steffe and did my best to give him full credit with my first photo. I won't go into the detail that he has. I am not skilled enough and the scenery here isn't as dramatic as his. But I'll give it a go. Your Winter is coming and no doubt it will get slightly cooler :). It is still raining here. Darn.

Daryl - Fantastic. I didn't know. I have found about 4 or 5 spots I tend to come back to but nothing on a daily basis. It will be fun to look at your Canopy photos in years ahead.

Thanks, Tanya. I hope so too but possibly not until next week. Forecast is for rain, little snow and then more rain. Ugh!

Boz would love sheep! The only time I have to put him on a leash is when horses come by, and even then he behaves. But he's so interested.

What a beautiful big bare tree!

Petrea - My guess is that the sheep would love Boz too! We all do!!

Thanks, JM.
