Ho-hum.....

....I think I'll go for a swim.

Splash!  Made it!

Graceful?  I think not :).  The swan in the background in the top photo is sitting on a nest (waiting for her partner, I expect, to come back).

Have a good week!

Thanks for the Monday morning pickmeup!

sort of goofy looking. It's funny how they can look so graceful in the water but not on land. When I was in Ireland and also England I was surprised by how many swans we saw. There aren't that many here in the states.

This sequence of images made me laugh out loud Lauren, I'll never think of that expression 'as graceful as a swan' the same way again haha!

LOL - that is the best photoseries! What a great start to Monday, thank you:) I love the way you captured each step. Amazing the contrast b/w their grace on land vs. water!

What a fantastic series of photos! You could submit them to a magazine. Thank-you for making me chuckle. :-)

LOL! And there I was thinking how graceful swans always are! Nice shots.

I saw this swan again yesterday...I smiled. Glad you enjoyed a little fun. BTW I used that setting on my camera where the shutter repeats the shot (don't know what setting is called). So basically the camera happily got the sequence and I just deleted a few pics in between for my blog. Have a good day!

Haha! I have never seen photos of the stages of a swan geting into the water. Fascinating. Yes, it really looks as if it is accidentally falling in!
