In celebration of Norway's National Day, I went in search for something 'Norwegian' here in Coventry.
Here is what I found:
The Norwegian Organ
A gift from the people of Norway to Coventry Cathedral in 1967.
It was built by Torkildsen Brothers and designed by Ole Rasmus Krag.
Today (17th May) is Norwegian Constitution Day.

It's been many years since I visited Coventry Cathedral but I do remember those organ pipes. Lovely set of pictures for the theme.
I think I've never seen a modern church organ, only old ones.

This organ is not only a very clever 'find' but also a lovely piece of wood-working and design. It is like a modern work of art. And to find it in Coventry ... great sleuthing.
