The Countryside

We went to Rugby Wednesday to see 'The Great Gatsby'.
Enjoyed the film but wished I had seen it in 2D rather than 3D.

On the way home we stopped (just outside Easenhall village) and waited and waited for the sunlight to reach beyond those trees.  It didn't happen but did get as far as those nice Jersey cows.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.  It is a Bank holiday here on Monday and most of the schools are closed for the week too. Everywhere will be busy.  Hope the weather cooperates.  Cheers for now!

Participating in Skywatch Friday and Ein Stück Himmel.

I just can't wrap myself around The Great Gatsby in 3D with hip hop music (or so I've been told) and all those special effects...

Nice pic!!! Beautiful day!!!

Wonder why they decided to make a drama film in 3D. Weather today has been awful in Nottingham. Don't know whether there will be much improvement over the weekend. Anyway, have a good one

Love the colours in your shot. The contrast of the field of yellow rape with those dark trees is excellent.

What I have seen of the trailers for TheGreat Gastsby, I don't even want to se it. I remember too well the version with Robert Redfern, that was just beautifully filmed, pretty true to the period and built up great tension.
Lovely, gentle landscape an I adore Jersey cows. We had a hand raised Jersey as a house cow for a long time and sheared her milk with a succession of her calves.

Everytime I see a yellow field, the blooming mustard sceneries in Rajasthan in January come to my mind.

Hooray for the lovely fields of gold! Gorgeous English countryside:) I enjoyed The Great Gatsby too, even with the Robert Redford version looming in my mind, though I can't imagine it in 3D! Hope your forecast is being kind:)

Stunning shot LOL, definitely worth the wait. Hope that you're enjoying your long weekend and that the weather is fair, otherwise that's just so unfair haha! The Great Gatsby in 3D..that's just wrong :)
p.s. glad to hear Mr. LOL's back is improving, mine also..now just have to remember I'm not 21 anymore!

Thank you all. Interesting thoughts...enjoyed reading them.

Weather is picking up here but it is still cold (to me) in Coventry.

To those of you who commented on The Great Gatsby - I think I am going to see it again in 2D :).

Lulu - Glad to see you back!

Grace - Neither is Mr LOL :).
