Ansty Golf Club (Taken yesterday - it was cold but sunny.) |
And, below we have some gulls, possibly 'urban' gulls, on an outing to the countryside.
I did a little research on seagulls. We are definitely not in an urban area here but we aren't far from villages and cities. These might be herring gulls which have adapted well to urban environment but are consider to be a bit of a menace. It is likely that these gulls have never seen the seaside. Maybe they should be called 'rural' gulls. Happily, they are not bothering anyone, but they better move soon because golf balls will be peppering that green soon.

Yesterday was lovely with sunshine if a bit cold - today was supposed to be milder but it was windy and the squally and rainy and horrible - not sure about the gulls - we tend to say we get gulls here when the weather is bad on the coast and they head inland into pigeon territory.
Those little red trees in the background are stunning! In Portugal we say: 'Gulls on land = storm at the sea'.
You have some lovely touches of autumn there! On what looks a gorgeous day. The gulls are great, it's so funny seeing them far inland. Obviously, Coventry suits them:)
I wouldn't mind a bit of "cold and clear" right now. We're getting "warm and wet" here, no sun to speak of. So I'm really enjoying your scenic golf course views.
You still have the autumn colors, nice to see.
Rural gulls, well that's interesting. I like JM's theory on this.
Well, the theory about the gulls being inland could hold up cause it has been really stormy today and more to come tomorrow.
Yes, Lulu, considering Coventry is just about dead center in England they must appreciate those pretty colors too :).
