Golfers, No - Deer, Yes

Forest of Arden Golf Course
Meriden, near Coventry
I played golf today but not here.  After my game I went out in search of  a thatched roof home.  No luck with that but I will settle for this instead.  The light isn't brilliant but you can see the local wildlife (with no golfers around). Meriden is next door to Coventry and is in the centre of England.

PS.  My better half thanks you for your kind thoughts.  He is much better.

That looks rather like a croquet lawn

I prefer this view over a photo of golfers out on the course!

And all 3 of them are carrying an impressive rack. From the pics at your linked Wickipedia page one could spend some quality time in Meriden, taking photos.

Hope it was a great day golfing and glad your husband is better. I love the deer and their amazing antlers. I've been fascinated by the idea of Meriden as the center of England - it would be a fun visit, as Paul suggests. (ps You have a good eye! Those were indeed bags weighing down the sculptures from the hurricane, though - amusingly - they were bags of animal feed:)

I love this, well spotted. Golf courses are pretty good for wildlife. Meriden is a pretty spot, all I knew of it was the motorcycle connection.

So that's how they keep the greens trimmed in England, very environmentally friendly haha! Really pretty image.
