Thatched Roof Thursday #33 - Stoneleigh

It just gets better....look down the road.  Another thatch cottage!  So far, in my time around Coventry, I would have to say that Stoneleigh Village is right up there as being one of the most beautiful and scenic villages I have visited.

It is lovely in every way.

I am running late again today.  It has been raining for the last three days.  Tomorrow should be better (oh please)!

Thank you to those of you who commented on my swans yesterday.  Genuinely appreciated.  Cheers for now :).

You keep finding little gems amongst the cottages.

Looks a very quiet spot, somewhere that wouldn't look out of place in Midsomer Murders!

It's a true charmer (as is the village)! I wonder if being surrounded by such delightful cottages helps make up for the weather:) Very lovely. And sending you some of our (suddenly blazing) sun!

I love these! (As you know.) Will you be able to show us more of the village? I'm greedy.

The first photo gives a hint of a lovely village street. A few years ago I was in Bibury, which had been awarded the title of prettiest village in England. This one might give it a run for the money.

i would love to walk through here. i have become so knowledgeable thanks you you and your thatched roof series...this morning while blog hopping, i saw a little cottage that had a thatched roof, and there wasn't any mention of the roof being thatched and i thought of you as i commented "i love that thatched roof" haha showing off my expertise :D

Thank you once again for your thoughts on Stoneleigh. It is lovely there.

Christopher - JM has said the same thing about others shots I have used :). (And, I am struggling to leave comments on your site because of Google+.)

Lulu - Received...I had to take my coat off today :).

Petrea - The house across the street isn't shabby...will do that one next week.

Jack - I sometimes go to Gloucestershire. I might just call in on Bibury and have a look.

JM - A regular Stoneleigh house next week and then one more thatch next Thursday. See Christopher's comment.

Carraol - Thank you for your kind words and taking the time when you can.

I think we all know a lot more about the technicalities of thatched roofs since you started this series LOL :) Seriously your first shot here, would make a charming postcard. Hope you have a great weekend, regards to Mr. LOL..

Thank you, Grace. I love Stoneleigh and I haven't seen any shops yet...so that is saying a lot :). Mr LOL says, 'Hi'.

These images make me want to put on my travel boots!

There are thatched roofs around here, south of Vienna, in Burgenland, in the Neusiedl Lake area. They are made of reed bundles.

Aw...thank you, Merisi. I am interested in 'your' thatch roofs. I think a lot of others would be too :).
