Thatched Roof Thursday #32 - Stoneleigh

Beautiful home and, yes, Circa 1500.
Stoneleigh is located in beautiful countryside as shown below.

Absolutely no idea what's in store for tomorrow.
Hope it is a better news day than yesterday and earlier this week.
Stay safe, folks.

What a gorgeous place and "cottage." (Looks like a mansion to me!) I've never understood thatched roofs, though, and how they last through all kinds of weather. But I hear they are good for heating and cooling.

Now this is what I think of when I think of England!!!

You do seem to find a number of listed properties in your part of the world that are so much a part of rural England.

1500. I wonder if thatched roof cottages boast "Shakespeare Slept Here," in the same way we do with George Washington... :-)

Many, many thanks for your thoughts and contributions. I do wish I could have gotten a closer look.

Adele - No sign, so I expect not :) but you never know. On 20 miles to Stratford.

Fun60 - Stoneleigh has more listed buildings than any other village in Warwickshire. Lovely place to visit.

Cheers - JM, Bettyl, Jack, Lulu and Grace. I expect they paid a pretty penny for this cherished location.
