S Is For Swan Family

The whole family were out proudly on Sunday.
I believe these cygnets are about a week old.
Darling.

While the Swan's above were out and about -
Have a look below.....

Hardly comfortable but a nice setting
at Coombe Country Park.

On a personal note:
These photos have convinced me that I must start learning about the settings on my DSLR.  I don't always use that camera but when I do it is set on 'auto'.  I have struggled all through the winter with the snow and now these white swans.  Wish me luck :).

Great family photos. Good luck with the camera, I found the colour balance on auto rather disappointing too and ventured into more customised settings. It's fun and you can always take multiple shots 'til you get one you are happy with.

So sweet. I know exactly what you mean about camera settings. Mine doesn't have that many, but I am always trepidatious about venturing past "auto". Good luck!I'm sure the results will be brilliant!

I do wish you luck as I should do the same...I'm doing quite well with it set on Auto, but it seems a shame not to use it to its fullest. Love your swans.

Lovely but I do find them scary to walk past when on the bank together!

I agree about needing to learn more about the settings when shooting something so white as snow and swans! We are still anxiously waiting on the cygnets from our local swans.

Cheers all. I am not alone on the 'new' camera front :). I have made a start and wrecked more photos than ever last trip out - the learning curve - oh dear..ha ha!

To the 'grace'ful Grace :). Hope you are feeling better.

Chrissy - These swans seem to respond nicely to the public - bet that is because most bring food!
