Coventry Cathedral Ruins - Golden Glass

If ever you visit Coventry, please
allow some time to walk around Coventry Cathedral Ruins
and look at the windows.

The stained glass that remains after WWII, is worth a look.

Correction:  That first sentence should read,
'When you visit Coventry' :).

Participating in Skywatch Friday

Have a SUPER weekend!

Oh how I wish there were a "when" involving me and my camera and Coventry. Those windows and those ruins remind me of the movie "Mrs. Miniver." What a treasure (the movie and the windows and the ruins). Your photos are stunning. Just so lovely. Thanks for dropping by my blog. And you really MUST aim your lens at some of the gorgeous English cemeteries. I'd give a lot to be able to do that. Happy weekend. xoxo

I so want to make it happen, a real visit to Coventry that is! I love those amazing windows and of course I've a soft spot for ruins. These capture the thrilling beauty and the sadness too. Hope you've a super weekend, full of r&r:)

Sad remembrance of the time...but those old war torn ruins are quite spectacular.

How far from South Hampton is Coventry?

How about from Scotland???

Is that green moss growing on the walls in the second image. Or turning green in spots. It is lovely to look at. The first image is beautiful too!

I am hoping that someday we'll have opportunity to visit your beautiful part of the world! And there's no question but we'd take a gander at these ruins.

It is indeed a beautiful site. "When" I visit Coventry? It is not out of the realm of possibility, but not on the calendar for 2014.

Delightful comments to read. Coventry Cathedral is worth a visit!

Chieftess and all - Coventry is right in between most places but a long way from Southampton and Scotland. If you are travelling between the two you can stop for tea with a lot of UK bloggers along the way, including me!!!
