Here is my Thatched Roof Thursday # 7 (on ABC Wednesday)!
This is such a clean cut thatched roof, I had to use it at some point. It is a modern home and yet still thatched. Great! And, yes, the house is in Dunchurch (not far from Coventry).
OK folks, I am going to have to double up here and keep this one up today and tomorrow and (regrettably, ha ha) have a day off tomorrow to do some Christmas shopping.

Back on Friday :).

coming over from ABC Wednesday, my T post is up as well
Pretty as a postcard! I love your thatched roof and also that you've found so many...they're a bit thin on the ground here, haha. Enjoy your time off - so good to fit in shopping time at Xmas (doesn't seem to get done otherwise!:)
i love how they have so much detail and this one is interesting on a modern home! have fun christmas shopping!!
Have to love this photo, the houses are so lovely. Happy shopping!

Thatch, of course- good one.
Am about to plan a US trip with your other wonderful blog ;-)
I have never thought about this before but I suppose Margaret Thatcher's ancestors were in fact thatchers. Not unlike millers and coopers.
I like it that it's DEFINITE. no ambiguity here!

I love the look of a thatched roof and I understand they're very good, too.

Wow - I love how many if these are in your area. "Thin on the ground" here for sure. Haven't even seen one! Hope you're enjoying your shopping!
Very neat thatch, and thick, no problems with rain getting in here I bet! Here's hoping you have a successful shopping trip!
It is fabulous. Is it hard finding people with the skills to do the thatching? I would have thought that this is a skill in danger of becoming obsolete.
Superb.
I thought I saw some thatch today in Pasadena, glimpsed behind something else. Now, of course, I can't remember quite where it was.
I did, Lady In Read :).
Come on everyone, get out there and find me a thatched roof where you live. Lulu & Adele say they are thin on the ground and Petrea saw one but where????
Chrissy, that Nevada trip blog was my first effort at blogging. It is rough around the edges but I managed to finish it okay.
K - You could be right!
Off to visit Chris at her blog now :).
Thank you all.
Totally charming. I love to see styles that are unique, or at least different.
