The Oxford Canal is 78 miles long and meanders through the countryside, towns and villages between Oxford and Coventry. There is a nice public toe path along side the canal. These photos were taken on a frosty morning last Sunday.

It's truly gorgeous - sigh, such beauty you have all around you! I love the frosty feel in these and would love to take that boat for a spin.
Now that is a lovely place for a walk!
I love those English canals!
so peaceful... hiring one of those boats is on top of my list for when ever I get back over to the UK.
Greetings from Montreal, Canada. My grandparents on my father's side were born in Kent. This looks like a place that I would really enjoy taking a long walk with my camera. Lovely!
Beautiful picture . What a wonderful life you've made for yourself in that beautiful spot. Isn't retirement a gift when you can fulfill a dream! Glad to have found your blog and I'll be back.
We did go on a short canal boat trip when we were in London...it would be wonderful to just hop on one and travel for a week .... or ten ;>)! What a dream.
Canals are great for recreation and I walk along the Leeds canal most weeks. I used to fish the Oxford canal when I was a boy.
Wonderful atmospheric images LOL, the light and colour is so pretty. Oh how I'd love a chilly day right now, it was 35C here today.
so pretty...it doesn't look big enough for that boat but i suppose they know what they are doing lol
Glad you all like the look of this sweet canal. It is a perfect place for a walk.
Greetings to you too Linda in Montreal. Thanks for visiting.
Yes, Sallie, retirement is the best. This section of canal is very popular for holiday boat trips.
35C...gosh, sure isn't anything like that here, PerthDP.
Beautyful "watery" shot!
Looks like a nice place to stroll...
Absolutely gorgeous.
I agree with all the above comments - just beautiful.
Again, thank you!
