Regarding your comment: I did have a slip and bashed my leg on Christmas Eve. I said a few un-Christmas-like words and ended up spending the evening in an emergency ward.
"Real" photographers, I'm told, get up early, sleep during the day, and then go back out in the evening. Early morning is a great time 'cause you get light like this. Great light makes all old ruins like myself look better! :)
