World Cup/Flag Day

I give The Old Shepherd pub
10 out of 10 for their support of England playing in the World Cup tonight.

It is also Flag Day in America.  Of course,
we celebrate that too as you can see below :).

Enjoy your Saturday!

PS  Happy Birthday, Susie

I love the photos. I suppose that support for the World Cup at the pub is like going to my neighborhood bar to watch baseball, basketball, or "football" here. However, I made a point, some years back, of following the WC - being aware of the teams, the scores, keeping track of the brackets, etc. However, whatever the skills of the players, it was like - Meh. It's more fun to watch the little kids (5 y-o or so) play the game at my neighborhood park. Now THAT I get.

I love that "old pub." The flags are quite colorful too. What's the "World Cup"? Heh, heh!

A splendid looking pub, Lauren. We have a flag day as well, but earlier in the year.

Ah that's very nice. But I'm currently digging myself a non-soccer hole so I'd have to avoid places like this for a little while... ;-)
