Thatched Roof Thursday #69 - Thurlaston

Pipewell Cottage, Pudding Bag Lane
I kid you not!  That is the street name :).

Thurlaston (mentioned in the Domesday Book)
is a small, picturesque and quiet village about 15 minutes from Coventry.

Pipewell Cottage origins date back about 600 years,
with later additions.  Grade II listed and a gem.

Hope to be back blogging a bit more.  Painting is done and
new carpet looks great!  Hooray!

It's an enchanting cottage. Cottage? Looks a wee bit too big for a cottage. Would love to see the inside of this "gem."

I'm glad your work is getting completed. But I can't imagine painting the carpet. ;)))

Pudding Bag Lane?

Surely you jest!

It is such a charmer, LOL. Pudding Bag Lane? I suppose I could handle that if this house came along with it.

'Pudding Bag Lane'. Don't you just love the name. Have you researched the history of the name? No doubt there was a pudding maker working somewhere nearby.

Great photo! I can imagine that charming cottage on a biscuit tin, or maybe as a jigsaw puzzle.

It's a darling! The street name is, too. Of course, it made me wonder if they really had a special bag just to carry pudding. :)

Glad to hear you're done painting the walls. I've been awol because we're having the house's entire electrical system rewired and I'm getting hives from all the dust. I'll be able to hang out at home more when the contractor's done.
