Thatched Roof Thursday #61 - Leek Wootton

Ivy Cottage

All I can tell you about this 'close to the road'
thatched cottage is the name.

The thatched part of the building seems to be part of of
a bigger house to the left.

It is next door to Gypsy Cottage.
I showed you that one last week.

Where the front door is?  Don't know.

But I can say this.
When the sun comes out
(as it did about 30 minutes later),
it looks sweet to me.

I agree with Merisi. Such beautiful homes and images.

It is a very charming home and would be lovely, unless that road is heavily traveled.

Your wonderful photos tell a great story about encroachments in time, and their dialogue with the elder non-human residents!

Nice to see a sunny day. Last thing you would want on a lovely cottage like that is ivy!

My word but that road is inches away form the house!
Perhaps it is a good thing the front door is hidden.

Very English indeed!

And yes, it's too close to the road, I think.

I love the names of English villages. Leek Wootton is up near the top of the list of good ones.
