We're celebrating. We venture down this road most
weeks. It has been in desperate need of repair.
Done! Look at it now.
The potholes are gone, the uneven surfaces are smooth and it is safe to
cruise down this beautiful drive to Coombe Country Park
and Coombe Abbey Hotel.
I am still waiting for snow :).
PS. The hotel features mediaeval banquets - so I think that is
what 'BANQ' signage is all about.

cool shots, the road looks great and bright against that green grass! it's snowing here but i'm kind of dreaming of spring now!
What a relief a newly resurfaced road can be. And just look at all those lovely trees!
They do like writing instructions on the road! Must be a nice change after potholes.
It looks quite smooth!
Here we're back into the deep freeze again.
Looks like a grand place to visit. Interesting perspective on the instructions covering parts of the road. Is that a good price for the meals?
If you had snow, you wouldn't be able to read the road.
Great compositions!
I'd send you some of our snow if I knew how!
I remember the road from my visit in 2011..it was a rough ride, then, and not in keeping with the place at all. All looks spiffy now!

A beautiful drive and a superb job on the road!
The scenery is so beautiful! It must be great driving that road.
Yay! Could you send some of the repair people to Berlin? ;-)
Yay! It looks good. Fascinating how big the lettering is.
WHAT!!!!! waiting for snow? Did I read that right? We have about 6 foot of it out back. I want Spring. The new road looks wonderful. I bet some of the road works makes life a challenge when in progress but oh what a lovely job.

Well if anyone gets lost now Lauren, they definitely need a vision check :)
Yes, the road marking are 'loud' and clear :) as duly noted by many of you!!!
Hamilton - Now I know why we haven't had snow...ha ha!
Stephanie - The prices are reasonable (I think). If we go to Coombe Abbey it is usually a special occasion. Get what I mean.
Linda has offered to send snow and Janice, you have 6' of it. Wow!
Thanks again for stopping by.
