...at Coombe Country Park.
The bank of reeds that you see in the photo above was home to a family of swans earlier this year.
In the shot below, you will see tree on left has blown over in recent strong winds.
I am told the tree will be removed at some point.

ah love the baby-trail
Looks like a lovely place for a bit of nature watching.
Looks like a nice spot to visit for a stroll.
It does look like a lovely place to sit awhile.
The swan and her young ones look like they're on military parade...
Oh, those gorgeous swans! This would be a perfect place, for swans and humans alike - so serene, sigh...
Pretty. The trees are holding their color for quite a while.
Lovely spot.
It's too bad there are plans to remove the fallen tree. A tree that falls naturally can become its own ecosystem, enhancing the environment.
Those swans sure know about location, location, location..prime spot here :) Super link, lots of good info about the Park.
So the cricket starts tomorrow, you won't see me there Lauren, not in 36C weather :) but P will be there! I was watching 'the barmy army' on tv tonight, I like that they seem to be having fun in Perth..except they think it's the most expensive city in Oz :))
Thanks for your comments. Glad you enjoyed this quite spot.
Jack - I am surprised that the trees still have many leaves on them. Makes for a pretty setting.
Petrea - You are right but I think there is a safety issue. Path is blocked and view of lake is obstructed. Will see what happens.
Grace - Hope P enjoys the cricket. I expect Australia will win. The temperatures there are incredible.
Absolutely gorgeous sceneries and shots! And the swan family is way too cute! :-)
