Thatched Roof Thursday #44 - Kenilworth

I just can't bring myself to show you all of
this thatched roof cottage until the sky is blue.
In the meantime, let your imagination run wild :).

Oh, could I have possibly seen this charming place last year during my visit?:) Beautiful glimpse, doesn't matter what color the sky is!

I get a kick out of the term, "cottage," as for me that term implies a small hideaway kind of place, and this looks more like a elegant and permanent home.

Nicely-composed photo!

Sorry, Karen, I didn't mean to give you extra work re the elephant. But it did strike me as an anomaly. And it wasn't upside down so it couldn't have anything to do with the Republican Party here. :)

Hah! I know what you mean. Don't white skies drive you nuts? A year ago I took a few classes on photo-editing and learned how to erase the white sky and replace it with a gorgeous blue sky with puffy clouds, but it is time-consuming and too much like cheating for my tastes.

Looking forward to seeing it in all its glory under a blue sky :)

Lulu - Yes, you could have. It is close to Kenilworth Castle.

Thanks for the comments - Deb, Cloudia, Grace, Leovi

Lowell - I know 'cottage' does suggest something small and compact. In reality I could call all these homes Thatched Houses. I'll consider it :). Fell over laughing re you elephant/Republican Party note. Good one!

Jack - I am with you. Show it as it is...or go back and do it again :). Still it is fun to know how to edit - might be useful!
