O Is For Oak

Tree Series - Coombe Country Park

It is almost May and this tree still looks like a silhouette against the morning skies.  When we got up this morning the sun was out.  The plan - to get a shot with the sun shining on the tree.  Sunrise is behind me.  The reality - it clouded over by the time we got there 30 minutes later.  I will not be defeated.  Will try this tactic again next month when I check back to see how this tree looks then.  Here is the view in January.

Hope your week is going well.  Have a look at more 'O' photos - ABC Wednesday.

A very grand looking O for the day. It looks very atmospheric against that cloudy sky! Despite some beautiful blooms, many of our trees are also still bare (likely from those inconveniently cloudy moments:)

By May I'm sure this mighty oak will be covered in leaves.

Excellent choice for O, glad to see 'your' tree is a sturdy English oak!

Many, many thanks for your comments. I see I have some new visitors too....so off to see your webpages. Glad a lot of you share my curiosity as to how this tree will look in a month.

Yes, Tanya, that is 'my' tree. Well, maybe 'our' tree cause Mr LOL likes it too :).

Lulu - I am totally noticing the trees blooming this year. Must be because of taking up photography.

Deb - like your choice of words!!!

Grace - My plans always seem to go haywire...not good because they always include Mr LOL :).

Thanks again you all!
