N Is For Number oNe

Number One, Eaton House, Eaton Road, Coventry

This distinctive building with blue windows near Coventry Train Station stands virtually empty. It was built in 1970 and has 13 floors.  At present, there is only one business in the building.  Madness. (Nearby skyscraper, Station Tower,  is vacant. You can see the full length shot of Eaton House in the Station Tower photo.)

Ring Road, Coventry looking towards Number One, Eaton House (to right).

On a brighter note, the daffodils are just coming out now.  Hooray!  Have a safe day.

A #1 post. :) Just realized that Number Nine, Number Nine, Number Nine would have made a great post.

Love the post for N - and so cheery to see the daffodils alongside that cool horse again! I hope this means Spring will spring soon? (Thanks also for your very kind words re: recent Boston events.)

Gee, is business bad in the area? What a shame such a NICE building stands vacant! Love the daffodils - makes the season so much prettier, don't you think?

Impressive angle! The structure looks interesting, but empty?

You have a gift for composition. I never realised Coventry could look so attractive.

This craziness is happening in too many places. It is going to take a very long time for new businesses to absorb the excess space around the developed world.

Thanks again and again to you ALL. So kind of you to leave a note :).

Lulu - No worries...such a sad event and now the explosion in Texas. Darn.

Leslie - Still enjoying the thought of your 'N' collection. They are doing up the interior of No. 1...so maybe more tenants soon.

Thanks, Chrissy.

Fun60 - I seem to see the nice bits and they are there to be found :).

Ann - Funny you should mention...ha ha!

Brilliant perspective on the letter N LOL, it seems so weird that these huge buildings are empty.. You would've thought they were built for a sorcific purpose.
