Rust And Ruins

On the first day of each month City Daily Photo has a Theme Day.
The theme for 1st September was 'Rust and Ruins'.
Today, I found what might have been a perfect entry.

The metal signs commemorate the ownership of property in Bayley Lane, destroyed during the Blitz.
You can see Coventry Cathedral ruins in the middle with the new Cathedral beyond.

A closer look at occupants of 43 Bayley Lane between 1410 and 1940.

I am adding this photo, also taken today.

Update:  I have missed my blogging friends.
I am recovering from having a tooth out.  Hooray.
And, I am taking a month off to do a little of this and that.

Stay well and be happy!  See you soon :).

Wow! I like that they're allowing the panel to rust majestically with time and weather. Wonderful images. Hope you feel better soon.

Breathtaking shots, and good choices. I hope you're feeling better soon.

You might have the most rust and the best ruins of anyone. Seeing all of that history on the site and then the devastation of the blitz really brings home the carnage that poor Coventry suffered in WWII.

Speaking of suffering, I hope your recover soon from your tooth extraction. See you soon, I hope.
