These photos were taken as part of my search for
street lamps for City Daily Photo's Theme Day earlier this month.
I didn't use these shots then so here they are now.
This Tudor-style listed building is headquarters for
Coventry's local government. It was built in the early 20th century.
The Council House was officially opened on June 11, 1920
by King George VI (then Duke of York).
In the photo above, you can see the Coventry Cathedral Spire.
Below is a nice touch. Years ago, I loaned them an American flag.
Looks like they have their own now :).

It's really fine. Glad it survived the bombing even though so much else did not.
How lovely to think you loaned them a flag all that time ago:) And a terrific building, especially set against that majestic spire. As Jenny said, how good this survived intact!
It's an incredibly beautiful building. Our cities would be so much nicer if we built something other than concrete block and glass! We did years ago. I remember many gorgeous old buildings in Minneapolis when a youth.
Yup, changed the header today. Got bored with the other one. I dunno why no curbs. Some subdivisions have them and others don't. Probably cheaper not to put them in.
