Coventry Pubs #4 - The Castle

7 Little Park Street

The Castle pub extends into the Grade II listed
Georgian town house to the left.  It is
one of only three surviving buildings of this type in Coventry.
The others are:
Kirby House (16 Little Park Street) and
11 Priory Row All were built in the early 18th Century.

Located right in the center of Coventry
Below is a look at more of Little Park Street with The Castle in the middle.

Photos taken with my phone camera.
How amazing :).

The Castle Pub looks like cozy little place, and the building next to it is beautiful.

That's one of the problems I have with Coventry: that in the 60s planners allowed that kind of next door to each other development. I mean - there's a gorgeous old window behind the pub too, and I suppose I should be pleased that it was limited to single storey, so you could still see the old building behind, but I'm not sure about the vivid contract.

I guess I love the fact that the cathedral incorporates old and new together, and it's just the rest of the city doing the same thing, but somehow I have a problem with this. It's my problem, of course - not Coventry's!
