Thatched Roof Thursday #50 - Market Bosworth

Look what I found yesterday!

Aylesbrook Cottage
17th Century thatched roof cottage
with a little extra.  Look in the front garden.

I sort of peered over the hedge to get the shot above.

Market Bosworth is a small market town located about
20 miles from Coventry and is full of history and things to do.

I decided to postpone my 'Little Virginia' photos, promised last week.
Got a tad excited at finding a thatched cottage like this :).

Beautiful shots!

The kind of roof you'll never see on this side of the ocean.

I've always thought of thatched roofs as looking 'simple' (though i know they are intricate, just not in a patterned way)

I've looked at thatched roof houses before, but never had one look back as this one seems to. Anyway, it's a fantastic place. Nice shots !

Gosh what a find Lauren.. This is one of the most ornate thatches we've seen here..so beautifully coiffed :) it looks like the cottage is a warmer cream colour rather than the white.. tres, tres jolie!

Thank you for you charming comments and noticing the difference in this particular thatch.
