Hill Top

Coventry City Centre
Looking uphill towards Priory Row

Hill Top is a 'lane' that has so much
history around it, I just don't know where to begin.

What I can say is that it originated possibly in the 1600's
as a track.  It was on a map in 1749.
Believe me, there was plenty going on here
as early as the 11th century.
Have a look HERE.

I like how you've composed the shot!

That is amazing! I've always been surprised (don't know why) of the corruption and venality in the church from the earliest years. This little lane has indeed seen a lot. I clicked on the link and I read the material for awhile, but after two hours I gave up because there seemed to be no end to it. And I'm an historian! Just kidding! What I read was most interesting, though!

Love the sky just peeking out through the alleyway.
