(Oh please be an Osprey.)
These are holiday photos taken at
Pismo Beach Pier, California, in August.
On the next lamp post along the pier
was a Pelican.
Think I might be all set for
next week's ABC Wednesday - 'P' :).

That's really impressive, very nice photos!
Oh lovely wildlife shots! Were you able to use your non-point-and-shoot during your trip? Love the bird details and that lovely sky:)
Thanks, Leovi.
Lulu - I was not allowed to take my big camera. Mr LOL kept reminding me about our luggage allowance :). So I just used my Panasonic point and shoot. I was surprised at what I got.
These are terrific pictures. I've never been able to get close enough to an osprey to get a good shot.
On a golf course in Ft. Lauderdale, we used to watch them dive into a canal and come up with huge fish which they took to their next high in the trees. It was quite an amazing sight!
Great shot of a beautiful bird. That beak means business!
How great to be that close to an Osprey and have a camera to hand! Nice details.
Wow! Fabulous shots!

Great photo. I'm looking forward to your Pelican next week.
Its always fun to see birds that live on the ocean. Only a treat I see on vacation. I've never seen an Osprey before.

Terrific captures.
If it is NOT an osprey, I am sure not the guy who is going to discover it!
I looked for pictures on the web, and it sure looks like an osprey. Your photo is the best of them all, by the way.
Nice ones!
Serious-looking bird, not to be messed with!

Pismo, very lovely place. Your Osprey is so very handsome.
well done there!!
Wow! Impressive bird!
Great photos.. I know a little about birds but not birds of prey. This photo is spectacular.
The Panasonic point and shoot is really good, I loved mine. Looks like an Osprey to me Lauren, poor wee creature it has its beady eye on there :)
