M Is For Money...

...and plenty of it.  No, this isn't Coventry, England.  This photo was taken during our recent trip to California, USA.

Roman Indoor swimming pool at Hearst Castle.
Totally magnificent and a must to visit
if you do the Pacific Coast drive between
San Francisco and Los Angeles, California.

It had to take a few dollars to build something as grand as this.
American newspaper publisher and owner, William Randolph Hearst, wasn't short of a bob or two.

Participating in ABC Wednesday.

My parents took us there when we were kids and I remember the splendour of the entire place, especially this pool. I'd love to go back and see it again from an adult perspective!

I have heard so much about Hearst castle that I know I will just have to go and see it for myself one day soon. It is just so opulent.

Very decadent and definitely cost a lot of money. Great idea for M day.

I almost didn't want to do another posting today...I love this pool so much. Thank you all for your charming comments. I has been fun to see who has been there too. If you haven't...put it on the list if you are ever in California :).

I was here so many years ago that I am embarrassed to admit how many. Quite a place, isn't it?

Oh my gosh Lauren, these are spectacular shots..the colours are sublime.. at first I thought this has to be somewhere in India! I like it when abundantly wealthy people use their money for all to enjoy! So they darn well should :)))
