Corley, North Warwickshire

Taken in June, 2013
Corley Church entrance, Corley Village

Corley is a small village located about 8 miles northeast
of Coventry.  I found a thatched cottage here along
the main Tamworth Road earlier this year.  The shot for
tomorrow's Thatched Roof Thursday was
taken not far from here.

It rained for the most part today AGAIN
but the sun did come out later - at last!
I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Lovely picture. I wonder after our sunny summer we are in for a wet autumn.

I can almost hear the clip clop of hooves as carriages pull up to the church gates, the swish of grand ladies' skirts on the cobbles...

Lovely shot! I like how you are looking through the gates.

I have been on the long drive from New England to Florida, so I only saw your recent posts tonight. You have an archive of very nice photographs to feed out to us as the weather and your car searches pose obstacles to taking fresh photos. I hope everything gets sorted out pretty soon.
