How Do You Feel About Stairs?

180 steps and I might have my shot for
CDP's November Theme Day - 'Heights'.

That's the plan.
Mr LOL had to visit the chiropractor yesterday.  I
went with him and quickly nipped into town to see if the
Old Cathedral is open all week.  It is.
I am hoping for some clear skies between now and 1st November.

Your cathedral is a photographers dream Lauren, every shot you've shown us has been a gem.. This one would have been perfect for the theme also ..I guess heights can be either up or down oui :) Is Mr LOL having a problem with his back again ?

Yes looking up will do for the theme - I can't see me climbing up far before the end of the month either although I was intending to.

After climbing 180 steps you'll be getting close to my altitude!!!

I'd say it was well worth the climb! Beautifully framed, lovely architecture.

Oh boy, I apologize. I know your name - it's our granddaughter's name! There's another blogger with whom I've corresponded named Karen and I think you remind me of her a bit, plus I'm getting older by the day and sometimes have no clue what the heck I'm doing even when I'm doing it.

So, now I'm going to hit the sack assuming, of course, that I can find the bedroom. It's not always easy! :)

Hi again, Lauren! I deleted my goof.

So, again, this is a wonderful place and I prefer going down stairs rather than going up!

Nice shot.

Goo, LOL, I think you can do a heights photo from the bottom just as well as the top. At least, I sure hope so . . .

Notre Dame is 400 steps. I managed that, but it was 7 years ago. You can take breaks if need be.

Lowell, half the time I don't remember my own name.

What I love about doing a photo blog is the people you meet along the way. It has becomes more than just posting a daily photo. I think today's comments are the best examples ever - full of personal & photo thoughts. So I will express my delight in reading what you say by the following reply:

Lowell - You make me laugh over and over again with all the many witty and generous comments you leave on so many of our blogs. I wasn't sure if you knew my name (I gave up on trying to conceal it). I bet your granddaughter is a very 'cheerful' person :).

Grace - I may still have to do a looking up shot for Theme Day :). We will see what the energy levels are. Mr LOL is a tad twisted after lifting something on Saturday. But he is fine now. Hooray. Thanks for asking. Hope your back is good too.

Tanya - Thanks and all looks good on the 'back' front.

Petrea - Fun conversation here today. You met Bill and love your reply to Lowell. 400 stairs, phew!

Kate, Bill, Chieftess, Gerald, Cynthia, Stephanie, Weekend Windup - Thank you!

Jane - I really do hope I can get a nice shot for you. (Everyone - Jane is from Coventry.)

Jack - When I posted this, I got a bit worried that 'I would HAVE to make the climb'. Looking out the window this morning (Wed), it is clear. So I think I will have a go. Otherwise it will be a similar 'looking' up shot :)

To those of you visiting for the first time - I am looking forward to seeing your blogs.

Cheers for now.
Lauren :)

Fabulous composition! Love it.

The surgery went fine. The next three days were awful but now I'm OK. Thanks for your care.

What a great shot. A very different perspective. MB

It makes a perfect frame for the cathedral. If I look at it too long I will get a bit dizzy as I am not good with heights. Amazing shot!

Super news, JM. Don't rush anything.

Thanks, July and SMC :).
