Coot
This all-black water bird, with a distinctive white beak
and forehead, was not bothered at all by my
hurried moves to get a shot of it in front of those daffodils.
I must say, it really does have 'intriguing' feet.

I've never seen one like that here! Very distinctive.
When we get to the letter A, use the Coot again - those feet are ASTONDING. I am ASTONISHED, AWED, AFRAID it could use those feet as weapons!
we have this Coot here in New Zealand, looks the same as your, They come from Australia.
We have some funny little birds like this, but they have red on the head! I think they may be ducks, though. I guess I'd better get my ducks in a row!
I do love that park!!!
Oh my goodness! He's adorable. Wonderful captures of that unique feathered creature.
Neat pattern, but what is up with the feet?
oh I have already seen this beautiful bird! it seems, very original when we see !! you have two beautiful photos!
Funny little bird, made me smile.
I love also the background with flowers.
I agree, these birds do have the strangest feet!
Very weird feet!
